A family require a before/after school nanny for 2 hours before school and 3 hours after, 3 days a week.

School weeks in a year = 39 weeks (please note term times may differ per school)

£324.45 x 39 weeks = £12,653.55 per year

A family require a part time nanny for both school term time and school holidays.

Term time (32 weeks): 5 hours Monday – Wednesday and 3 hours Thursday – Friday.
(5 hours x 3 days) + (3 hours x 2 days) = 21 hours

£475.44 x 32 weeks = £15,214.08

School holidays (20 weeks): 7 hours Monday – Wednesday 5 hours Thursday – Frida

£701.84 x 20 weeks = £14,036.80

£15,214.08 + £14,036.80 = £29,250 per year
£29,250 / 12 = £2,437.57 per month (if you have agreed to pay your nanny in 12 equal monthly payments)

£351.20 x 52 weeks = £18,262.40 per year
£18,262.40 / 12 = £1,521.87 per month

Financial Support with your Nanny Costs

If you’re a working parent of a child under 11, or a child under 17 with a disability, you may be able to claim Tax-Free Childcare to help pay your nanny. Families can get up to £500 per child every three months, equating to £2,000 per year, and up to £4,000 per year for a disabled child. First, check you’re eligible, then set up an online childcare account for each of your children.

For every £8 you pay in, the government will pay in £2. You can pay your nanny directly from these accounts once they’re signed up to the scheme (note the nanny must be Ofsted registered).
