Financial Support with your Nanny Costs

If you’re a working parent of a child under 11, or a child under 17 with a disability, you may be able to claim Tax-Free Childcare to help pay your nanny. Families can get up to £500 per child every three months, equating to £2,000 per year, and up to £4,000 per year for a disabled child. First, check you’re eligible, then set up an online childcare account for each of your children.

For every £8 you pay in, the government will pay in £2. You can pay your nanny directly from these accounts once they’re signed up to the scheme (note the nanny must be Ofsted registered).
