Nannytax provides you with a bespoke contract of employment, included with your subscription as standard. Our HR advisors will tailor the contract to suit your specific needs. We also provide you with an employee handbook which explains the employment policies in detail, to help both you and your nanny understand and agree to the terms in the contract.  

This sets the foundations for a good working relationship.

2. End to end HMRC compliance

HMRC’s requirements can be complex and time consuming. We’ve all seen and heard the stories of the long minutes on hold to an HMRC customer service assistant. However, Nannytax will support you by dealing with HMRC on your behalf throughout the full employment journey.

Once you have hired your nanny, we’ll register you as an employer with HMRC – so you don’t have to have to worry about it. We’ll also set up your nanny’s PAYE scheme. 

There’s a variety of forms that have to be completed each month alongside your payments, but we’ll handle all that. We will file monthly submissions, and let you know exactly how much you owe each month. We will produce statutory documentation, such as annual P60 and P11D documents – ensuring these are correctly filed to deadline, and should your staff member choose to leave, we’ll process the P45 for you.

It is important to note that any missed submissions or incorrect information submitted will likely result in fines. However, our end-to-end service means less time spent on paperwork, less stress from complex submissions, and less risk of fines due to incorrect or incomplete paperwork.

3. Reducing pay complexity

We make it easy for you. You can manage your nanny’s pay all in one place with our Members Area, from logging overtime to arranging a Christmas bonus.  

It’s a requirement to provide your nanny with a payslip every time they are paid – but this is something you won’t have to worry about as we will provide your nanny’s payslips. All you need to do is approve the payslips in your Members Area, which we’ll remind you to do via email. 

More than that, we also support you with more complex situations such as holiday, sickness, or maternity pay. All our payroll staff are CIPP certified, giving you total peace of mind.

4. Unlimited HR support on hand

When the situation stops being straightforward, you can turn to Nannytax. As a Nannytax customer your subscription gives you access to unlimited HR support as standard. Our CIPD qualified HR advisors can provide you with legal advice and deal with behavioural queries. We can also support you through processes such as maternity leave, grievance or redundancy. Other common queries include dealing with nanny shares or unusual working hours. No matter the issue, don’t hesitate to get in touch.

5. Pensions administration

It is a legal requirement for UK employers to enrol all eligible employees into a workplace pension scheme. Beyond the additional work of setting up the pension, regular documentation needs to be submitted to The Pensions Regulator, which could result in fines if missed.  
Sounds complicated? Don’t worry, we offer a Pensions Auto-Enrolment service, which can be added to your subscription. This ensures you stay compliant and ensures pension contributions are added to your employee payslips.

6. Nannytax Plus Service – the ultimate way to save time and hassle

Even though we do as much as we can to make your employment journey as simple as possible, there are still some things we’ll need you to do each month, such as making the salary payments to your nanny and paying your HMRC liabilities. But with our Nannytax Plus service, we’ll take care of this for you. You’ll never miss a payment, avoid any HMRC fines, and have even more time for what matters most.
