Financial perks for nanny employers are few and far between and in these straitened times parents need them more than ever. Therefore the results from the latest Nannytax poll aren’t exactly surprising; the opportunity to get some financial relief by employing an Ofsted registered nanny is clearly something more and more parents are taking advantage of. The Nannytax poll shows that 42 per cent of UK nannies are now registered and a further 25 per cent are in the process of becoming registered. This can be compared to the results of our Annual Wages Survey, published in January 2009, which showed that a total of 39 per cent of nannies where either already registered or in the process in gaining registration. Despite this dramatic increase in parents choosing to employ an Ofsted registered nanny, the poll also shows that 31 per cent of nannies currently remain unregistered and two percent of participating parents are unsure of whether their nanny is registered or not. |
