Your annual subscription entitles you to unlimited use of our Legal Advice help-line. We encourage you to make as much use of this service as you need to manage your employment relations effectively. If you require clarification or advice about any employment issue, other than payroll, then please call or email the Legal Advice help-line.

The Legal Advice help-line is available to you as an employer and is not available to your nanny as this may cause a conflict of interest. However, if you wish to make an enquiry, which will assist your nanny, you may call on her behalf.

What we do
Rather than simply explain what you can and cannot do, our legal team work closely with you and focus on finding solutions to your particular situation and problem. We accept and reply to email enquires and will also offer help with drafting letters (should you require) at no additional charge to you.

Additionally, should you find yourself in a particularly difficult situation, and need more help or support over and above that provided by your subscription, we can arrange for you to meet with a member of the legal team in person, and for a special member’s rate they can help resolve the matter directly.

About the service
When we first introduced our Legal Advice help-line in August 2001 it was an instant hit with our subscribers, who appreciated having access to advice from a team of solicitors specialising in domestic employment law – and it was not long before even lawyers signed up.

With a raft of recent legislation, much of it protecting the employee, the service has continued to be well-received. Over the years we have regularly added new features to make sure that we provide you, our clients, with the best legal support possible.

Nannytax poll: 64 per cent of nanny employers uncertain if they have employer's liability insurance

According to a poll conducted by Nannytax, nearly 64 per cent of nanny employers are uncertain if they have Employer’s Liability Insurance. This is despite the fact that employers can be fined up to £2,500 for every day they are without this cover.
