Nannytax - the service that costs you nothing...

As part of the present Government's e-business strategy all UK employers will be required to file their Annual PAYE returns electronically with HMRC, either by EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) or by the Internet, by the tax year 2009/2010.

In order to encourage small employers (with fewer than 50 employees) to file electronically HMRC has introduced a series of incentive payments to be made available over the next five years to all those who file early. Starting next tax year (beginning April 2004) and worth £250 per year in years one and two, then £150, £100 and £75 respectively over the next three years, the incentive payments are worth £825 in total. The first payment of £250 will be made during the summer of 2005, relating to the 2004/2005 tax year (which starts April 2004).

The only UK payroll service to already offer access to Inland Revenue incentive payments, using an electronic filing system that has been tried and tested, Nannytax has yet again demonstrated its position in the forefront of UK payroll provision. We are the only domestic payroll service that is large enough, and professional enough to file by EDI - the fastest and most secure electronic filing route - either now or in the future.

As part of the Enable group, Nannytax is the only EDI-enabled payroll service currently available in the UK, and all subscribers will automatically qualify for the maximum £825 incentive payments over the next five years.

The first payment of £250 will cover the entire costs for a year's payroll service from Nannytax for one employee, effectively making our service free for the coming year. It therefore makes good financial sense for all parents in the UK employing a nanny to use Nannytax.

More about Nannytax' involvement with EDI can be found on the page 'Enable Ltd; EDI Case History' on the Inland Revenue web site.
