This Spring NCMA is repositioning itself as the Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years - a standard setting professional association for everyone in childcare and early years. As part of their work to increase recognition of the professionalism of childminders, nannies and nursery workers they are producing a report on the career choices individuals working in childcare and early years make:
- what motivated them to start a career in childcare
- where they see themselves in the future
- what inspires them in their role
- what are the challenges the face
To do this the NCMA are asking professional childcare providers to complete a short survey. The survey only takes a few minutes to complete and closes on February 27. It will form the basis of a report the NCMA plan to publish and promote in the next few weeks. Promoting the survey findings will help to increase recognition of the important role childminders, nannies and nursery workers play. The findings will also further improve an understanding of what more the NCMA can do to support you in your role so we hope you will take a few minutes to tell us about your personal experience of working in childcare.
