PAYE 1 Month Reminders

Some of our clients have been recently panicked by receiving letters from HMRC advising them to make immediate payment for the period ending 5 May 2010 or face legal action.

Nannytax can now confirm that this was an unfortunate error of the part of HMRC who sent these letters by mistake.

Those of our clients who contacted HMRC directly were advised this was an error on our part, but we are pleased to confirm that HMRC have admitted that this was indeed their mistake and have sent us an apology:

". . . no reminders should have been issued until at least the third month of the financial was overdue. Please accept my apologies for the letters being issued to your clients."
